The meaning behind our logo...

The logo of Jude House showcases a prominent tree in the backdrop, with two distinct paths leading up to it, a creation by patients and staff. In 2014, a group of motivated patients collaborated with staff to establish the "Meditation area" beneath the shelter of two large oak trees on the premises. This serene spot, known as the meditation tree, serves as a sanctuary for growth, self-reflection, and making commitments.

The left side of the logo portrays muted colors and a somber atmosphere, while the right side displays vibrant hues symbolizing hope. This design signifies the dual nature of addiction – the struggle of active addiction versus the journey of recovery. The meditation tree is adorned with stones representing remembrance, loss, hope, and success in the battle against addiction.

Patients who spend time under the branches of our program and the meditation tree are encouraged to dedicate themselves to achieving successful recovery.

Emerging from treatment at Jude House, our patients exhibit brightness, creativity, strong family bonds, hope, and a wealth of opportunities. Our aim is to guide every individual towards a colorful path of recovery, provided they are sincere, open, and ready to embrace recovery as the cornerstone of their lives.

The Little Red Wagon

There are three things you can do with a wagon.  You can push it, pull it, or ride along in the middle.  The Jude house is here to help pull people up so that they may one day lead their own wagons in life.  There are many that can push from the back to help too - they are often the real horsepower!  Coasting in the middle is necessary at times as well so that you can catch your breath before pushing or pulling again, but remember too much time coasting creates too much dead weight.  Rather it is the little red wagon of recovery or the little red wagon of a non-profit like the Jude House - it takes great teamwork to make things happen in a way that we get the plane on the runway and make it fly!
